Whitecap Resources Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, seeks a GIS Analyst to manage, upgrade, and evolve our enterprise GIS platform.

This hands-on role covers ArcGIS Enterprise, FME Flow/Form, and infrastructure-as-code tooling, collaborating with IT, data, and business stakeholders to keep spatial platforms secure, current, and running smoothly. You will apply 5+ years of ArcGIS Enterprise administration, scripting, and app delivery experience to deploy web maps and dashboards across multiple

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years administering ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store), including architecture planning and upgrades.
Experience with FME Flow (Server) and FME Form, including engine management and scheduling.
Experience using Chef cookbooks to automate ArcGIS upgrades and deployments.
Experience managing GIS resources across multiple environments (dev/test/prod).
Working knowledge of ArcGIS Server Manager and Portal administration, including service publishing and troubleshooting.
Experience building or supporting apps in ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Sites/Hub, StoryMaps, and Dashboards.
Strong troubleshooting skills across GIS software, Windows/Linux server environments, and networking basics as they relate to GIS services.

Responsibilities

Administer ArcGIS Enterprise deployment and architecture planning.
Publish, optimize, and troubleshoot services via ArcGIS Server Manager and Portal.
Lead upgrades and patch cycles with validation and rollback planning.
Automate upgrades and configuration with Chef cookbooks.
Manage FME Flow (Server) and Form: engine management and scheduling.
Ensure consistency across dev/test/prod environments.
Troubleshoot GIS infrastructure issues.
Support apps using ArcGIS Experience Builder, Dashboards, StoryMaps, and Hub/Sites.
Collaborate with GIS analysts to design web maps and apps meeting reporting needs.
Handle day-to-day service requests and content management in Portal.
Document architecture and upgrade runbooks.
Coordinate with IT on server, network, security impacts.
Provide mentorship to junior GIS staff.
