Rayzor Edge Tree Care – Waterloo Region, Qualified candidates from Ontario only.
Rayzor Edge Tree Service is a growing, independently owned tree care business.
We’re hiring an experienced arborist climber ASAP as we continue to grow and add a second, pruning-focused crew.
This is a hands-on leadership position— you will be climbing, running jobs, and identifying additional work opportunities where appropriate.
What This Role Is
This is a hybrid position combining:
- Climber — performing pruning and removals

This is not a desk sales role. This is not just a climber role.
Why This Role Is Different
- Shared climbing load, less burnout, more longevity
- More efficient jobs and better workflow
- Strong team structure - not one guy carrying everything
You’ll have support from a secondary climber, while still owning the job outcome.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Climbing and performing pruning (ISA standards) and removals
- Leading the crew and keeping jobs efficient and organized
- Managing job flow, safety, and work planning
- Communicating with clients on site
- Identifying additional work opportunities (when appropriate)
- Ensuring every job meets our cleanup and quality standards
Our Standard (This Matters Here)
We are a premium service company.
- Cleanup is non-negotiable— every job, every time
You are responsible for making sure that standard is met.

- Stay working year-round while avoiding harsh winter climbing
What We’re Looking For

- Strong ability in pruning and/or removals
- Experience leading jobs or crews (or ready to step into it)
- Comfortable speaking with clients and spotting additional work
- Strong focus on quality and cleanup
- G license required (DZ is a strong asset)
- ISA Certification (or working toward it) = asset
What You Get
- Competitive pay (based on experience)
- Additional earning potential through sales
- Year-round work
- Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding company
- A role that transitions long-term into less climbing, more leadership/sales
Who This Is NOT For
- Climbers who don’t want responsibility
- People uncomfortable talking to clients
- Anyone who cuts corners or leaves a mess
