Bartlett Tree Experts in Victoria, BC is seeking an Arborist Climber to join our tree care crew. You will be responsible for tree climbing and assisting Crew Leaders with residential and commercial work.

We emphasize safety, professional development, and ongoing training, with opportunities for credential pay increases and internal advancement. Strong outdoors enthusiasm and reliability are essential for year‑round work.

Qualifications

• At least one year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of assigned tasks.
• Safely execute pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, removals, and equipment operation.
• Maintain and operate tools, chainsaws, chippers, and lifts as directed.
• Adhere to all safety rules and Bartlett safety policies.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and outdoor stewardship.

As an Arborist Climber, you will play an important role in

• Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader and Local Manager
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least one (1) year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift operation experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
