Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Barrie, ON is seeking an Arborist Climber to join our tree care crew. The role focuses on tree climbing and supporting Arborist Crew Leaders to service residential and commercial properties.

You will work outdoors in a professional, safety‑conscious environment. You will perform ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties; prune, cabling, bracing, rigging, removals; operate equipment; and uphold safety rules.

Qualifications

• At least one year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader and Local Manager.
• Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including Pruning, Cabling and bracing, Rigging, Removals, and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
• Learn and follow all safety rules and company safety policies.
• Demonstrate a passion for nature, environment, and the outdoors.

As an Arborist Climber, you will play an important role in

• Performing ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by the Arborist Crew Leader and Local Manager

  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety rules and company safety policies
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least one (1) year of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift operation experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
