Job summary

Elmwood-Kildonan Community Hub in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking an Aquatic Coordinator to lead lifeguards, swim instructors, and Lifesaving Instructors, driving program quality and a safe, welcoming experience for all members.

You will coach a team, plan staffing for programs, and uphold the highest safety standards while promoting a positive member journey. This role emphasizes teamwork and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of lifeguarding experience.
• Commitment to safety.
• Passionate about program quality and improvement.
• Able to build positive relationships with members, staff and volunteers.
• Ability to deal with challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise lifeguards, instructors, and Lifesaving Instructors.
• Train staff and ensure sufficient staffing for programs.

Are you a motivated, safety-focused leader who is passionate about developing lifeguards and instructors, enhancing aquatic programs, and creating a positive experience for all members through teamwork and quality service?

The Aquatic Coordinator is responsible for providing support and guidance to lifeguards, swim instructors and Lifesaving instructors. This individual will continually strive to improve quality of the aquatic program, while training lifeguards and instructors, and ensuring sufficient staffing for programs. This enthusiastic, motivated and self-directed individual will coach and lead a group of like-minded, service focused individuals to ensure all members have a positive experience in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. The Aquatic Coordinator is a part of a team, ensuring the highest standards of safety and program quality. The energy needed in this dynamic work environment requires organization, flexibility, maturity, and teamwork.
