Candidates should have a background in aquatics, including necessary certifications and strong communication skills. This position offers competitive hourly pay, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick is working hard to address the critical issues facing the region; the health crisis, population decline, youth outmigration and child poverty. At the Y, we are striving to build a diverse and inclusive community where each person is valued for the unique perspectives and contributions they bring.
The Y offers a diverse set of programs at 19 locations in the city and surrounding municipalities. We are a community of over 450 employees and 500 volunteers. If you don’t have a Y story yet – now is your opportunity to get involved. We invite you to come to see what the power of belonging can do for you, your career and your community.
The Aquatics Coordinator plays a key role within our Health, Membership, and Recreation (HMR) team, supporting the Aquatics Supervisor in delivering high-quality aquatic programs and ensuring an exceptional experience for all YMCA members. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about aquatics, leadership, and community service.
As a member of the HMR Support Team, the Aquatics Coordinator contributes to ensuring that all YMCA Southwestern New Brunswick sites are supported throughout their full operating hours. This dynamic and collaborative role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for members and staff. The Coordinator will have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, support program development, and make a meaningful impact in our aquatic community.
Starting wages/salaries are based on skills and experience and typically fall between the minimum and mid‑point of the range. The YMCA also offers opportunities for growth, regular reviews for progression, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in our community.
Interested candidates are invited to apply with us online at Careers | YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick. We ask all applicants to submit their cover letter and resume.
