Job summary

Vortex Aquatic Structures International in Canada is seeking a Project Manager who will lead complex aquatic construction projects from concept to installation. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including designers, engineers, and sales, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and quality standards.

The role requires a Mechanical or Civil Engineering background, 3–5 years in engineering project management, strong communication, CAD proficiency, and willingness to travel to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 3–5 years of engineering project management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction-related environment
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and technical drawings
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced CAD knowledge; SolidWorks experience is an asset
• PMP certification and aquatic industry experience are assets
• Bilingual French and English, with at least an intermediate level of English
• Ability to travel to project sites when required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to determine best mechanical and structural solutions.
• Assess feasibility of product modifications and new concepts.
• Review project designs and customer requirements to set specifications.
• Conduct technical studies and contribute to cost estimates.
• Define technical phases, deliverables, and requirements after award.
• Manage information flow between customers, Sales, Engineering and Design.
• Coordinate design and technical requirements with architects and contractors.
• Provide engineering support to customers and contractors throughout projects.
• Prepare and review technical documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Keep deliverables on schedule while ensuring quality and innovation.
