A prestigious Canadian university in Mississauga is seeking an Aquatic Programs Coordinator to manage aquatic programs for students and the community. This role involves developing, delivering, and evaluating various aquatic activities, engaging with a diverse population. Reporting to the Supervisor, Aquatic Programs, the Aquatic Programs Coordinator supports the development, safe delivery and evaluation of aquatic programs for students and community members. Aquatic programs and events include recreational swims, instruction programs, coached swims, aquatic fitness and sport programs and various special events. The incumbent will work to engage our diverse student population with a strong understanding of the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion as it relates to aquatic programs and recreation facilities. The Aquatic Programs Coordinator supports the hiring, training, scheduling and overseeing the work of casual aquatics staff (lifeguards, pool deck supervisors, swim instructors). The incumbent is responsible for maintaining excellent communication with students, members, staff and providing exceptional customer services.
The required days of work for this position are Tuesday‑Saturday. Hours of work are Tuesday‑Friday 12:45‑9:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
