The University of Manitoba invites applications for a full-time probationary (tenure-track) Assistant Professor in Cell and Systems - Aquatics Biology within the Department of Biological Sciences. The appointment begins July 1, 2027, or on a mutually agreed date, with salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

PhD in the relevant discipline with a proven record of high-quality scholarly research.
Demonstrate potential to establish an independent externally funded research program.
Develop teaching excellence in molecular, cell and systems biology.
Demonstrate leadership ability and collaboration to support the department and research community.

Responsibilities

Develop an internationally competitive research program in cell, biochemical, molecular, genetic and/or developmental biology.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in molecular, cell and systems biology and mentor students.
Engage in equity, diversity, inclusion, and service within the department and broader community.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance departmental goals.
