Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking an aqua fitness instructor to support CAF members and families with morning aqua fitness classes on-site. The role involves planning, organizing and delivering sessions, maintaining class schedules, and assisting with public relations and advertising materials.

You will monitor attendance, distribute evaluations, and liaise with partner organizations to keep programs current.

Formación

• Some years experience in a related field.
• Fitness Leaders Certification - Aquafitness module.
• Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
• In planning, organizing, and delivering aqua fitness classes.
• In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants.
• In ensuring safety protocols and procedures.
• In providing customer service.

THE ROLE

Supporting and working alongside the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and actively preparing them to defend and serve our country could be your path to an extremely fulfilling career.

Under the supervision of the Community Aquatics and Recreation Coordinator, the aqua fitness instructor plans, organizes and delivers aqua fitness classes. He/she prepares class schedules, design programs and assist with advertising and public relations. Record, monitor and report program attendance. Prepare, distribute and submit evaluation forms, as required.

Provide lifestyle awareness information. Liaise with outside organizations to ensure latest updates/trends are introduced to the program. Maintain current level of certification and abilities required to conduct aqua fitness classes. Assist in the design of aqua fitness programs and implement changes as required.

Qualifications Needed

• Some years experience in a related field
• Fitness Leaders Certification - Aquafitness module

• Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
• In planning, organizing, and delivering aqua fitness classes
• In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
• In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
• In providing customer service

• Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Other Information

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. Weekday mornings only. Up to 4.5 hours per week.
