THE ROLE

Supporting and working alongside the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and actively preparing them to defend and serve our country could be your path to an extremely fulfilling career.

Under the supervision of the Aquatic Coordinator, the aqua fitness instructor plans, organizes and delivers aqua fitness classes. He/she prepares class schedules, designs programs and assists with advertising and public relations. Records, monitors and reports program attendance. Prepares, distributes and submits evaluation forms, as required. Provides lifestyle awareness information. Liaises with outside organizations to ensure latest updates and trends are introduced to the program. Maintains current level of certification and abilities required to conduct aqua fitness classes. Assists in the design of aqua fitness programs and implements changes as required.

Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses

Some years experience in a related field.

Fitness Leaders Certification – Aquafitness module.

Experience
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and delivering aqua fitness classes.
  • Experience in monitoring and controlling large groups of participants.
  • Experience in ensuring safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience in providing customer service.

Language Requirements

English – Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset.
