Job summary

A leading Mazda dealership in Kitchener is seeking a motivated Apprentice to join their busy service department. As a 3rd or 4th year apprentice, you will complete repairs, engage in factory training, and work alongside experienced professionals. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Complete repairs and services as per assigned repair orders.
  • Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems.
  • Review work orders and discuss with service advisors.
  • Provide repair and servicing recommendations.
  • Utilize computer to document repair progress.
  • Stay up-to-date on factory training and requirements.

Qualifications
  • Registered 3rd/4th year apprentice
  • Must hold a valid Ontario Driver's License
  • Detail oriented, and problem-solving skills
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Strong communication skills and computer literacy
Responsibilities
  • Complete repairs and services as per assigned repair orders, using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
  • Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems using diagnostic tools
  • Review work orders and discuss worth with service advisors
  • Provide repair and servicing recommendations to service advisors and discuss parts availability with parts department
  • Utilize computer to punch on and off jobs and document repair progress and diagnoses
  • Stay up-to-date on factory training, recall notices, service actions and other manufacturer requirements
Wages and Hours
  • Flat rate hourly pay, negotiable based on experience
  • Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5:30pm
  • Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
  • Saturday shifts during spring / fall tire season (4-8 per year)
