Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Whitecourt, AB is seeking local Apprentices in Instrumentation to join our team on industrial projects. The role supports installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation systems while you progress through your apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience and safety training.

Ideal candidates are motivated apprentices who value safety, can follow directions, and contribute in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be an indentured Instrumentation Apprentice (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year).
• Construction and maintenance instrumentation experience required.
• Valid safety tickets: CSO, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, ESC Fall Protection, and H2S Alive.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be local to Whitecourt or within commuting distance, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation systems on industrial and commercial projects
• Support journeyman and senior tradespeople with day-to-day field tasks
• Follow safety procedures and maintain strong compliance with site requirements
• Participate in troubleshooting and basic diagnostics under supervision
• Work collaboratively with crew members to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition

This role supports construction and maintenance instrumentation work on industrial projects, with opportunities to build hands‑on experience while progressing through your apprenticeship.
