Job summary

A leading Canadian resource company located in Trail is seeking an Instrument Mechanic Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn and develop their skills under the supervision of experienced professionals. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining instrumentation and adhering to safety procedures. Applicants should have completed Grade 12 and possess interpersonal skills alongside knowledge of relevant systems. This full-time role offers competitive pay ranging from $36.56 to $46.03 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 (please submit a copy of certificate to application).
  • Pre-apprentice as Instrument Mechanic is required at a minimum.
  • Knowledge of Foxboro and ABB Systems would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Modicon PLC's and Wonderware HMI's considered an asset.
  • WHIMIS certification is required.
  • Experience in an industrial environment is desired.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Knowledge of and ability to safely use basic hand tools is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.

  • Install, calibrate, repair and maintain field instrumentation and final control elements.
  • Perform in a team-oriented environment of maintenance peers.

Role Overview

Reporting to a Group Leader, we are looking for an Instrument Mechanic Apprentice who is eager to learn and develop their skillset. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a journeyman who will instruct you, and give you tasks to complete each day that center around your development needs. This will include inspecting, maintaining, repairing of industrial equipment.

Pay Range

$36.56-$46.03 /hr

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
