Overview

Eq’Ouest stables is a growing equestrian farm in Dunrobin, Ontario (part of rural West Ottawa, minutes from public transportation). Eq’Ouest develops, coaches, and empowers riders of all ages, abilities & creeds; the farm is committed to providing a wholesome and empowering experience to anyone who trains, coaches, boards, or visits here. The farm offers animal boarding, animal wellness programs & equestrian rider coaching. We are in a season of growth, bringing in summer and youth camps and farm tours. This description reflects an opportunity for someone who loves animals and the outdoors and is a self-starter involved in an exciting project.

Position Summary

The intention of this position is to help build wood structures and assist in other repairs around the farm.

Minimum Qualifications

• This position was specifically created for the Canada Summer Jobs program 2021.
• A qualified candidate will be attending secondary or post-secondary school in a trade, construction or building program.
• Prior experience using tools and reading building plans considered an asset, but not a requirement.
• Candidate must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
