Job summary

OpenRoad Auto Group in Surrey, BC is seeking an Apprentice Technician in the Service department. This regular full-time role offers a compensation range of $18.25-$25.00 per hour and exposure to a wide array of OEM brands.

You will learn through structured training, perform vehicle repairs, and support parts and service processes while upholding dealership standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive equipment and service practices.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, organized and reliable.
• Strong communication with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform work as outlined with efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure work follows dealership and factory standards.
• Coordinate with parts to obtain needed items and tag parts for warranty.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service work as needed.
• Inform Service Advisor if extra work is required or timelines cannot be met.
• Document all work and road-test repaired vehicles for quality assurance.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned by management.
• Attend factory training and stay updated on bulletins.
