Parkland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Spruce Grove, AB, is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician (4th Year Apprentice) to join our busy service team. You’ll perform oil changes, tire services, and multi-point inspections while learning advanced diagnostics.

A valid Canadian driver's license, basic computer skills, and willingness to work physically demanding days are required. Traditional Apprenticeship or Motive Power grads are welcome; we offer competitive hourly pay and room to grow.

Responsabilités

• Perform oil & filter changes.
• Perform complete multi-point inspections and present findings to Service Advisor.
• Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on brakes, engines, and electrical systems.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and other items.
• Test systems with computerized diagnostics and isolate faults.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension.

Your area of focus.

The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing oil changes, tire services, and complete multi-point inspections, presenting findings to the Service Advisor. They conduct diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including brakes, engines, and electrical components, using computerized tools to isolate faults. Candidates should have experience in oil changes and tire services, along with basic computer skills and shop experience. A valid Ontario driver's license and the ability to meet physical demands are also required.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Perform oil & filter change
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
• Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicles. Mark required items on list & present findings to Service Advisor
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, & maintenance
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, & other items
• Inspect motors in operation, road test, & test systems & components using computerized diagnostics & other devices to diagnose & isolate faults
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts & components including fuel system, brakes, steering & suspension, engine & drive train, emission control & exhaust, cooling & climate control, & electrical & electronic systems

• Oil change & tire experience is an asset
• Basic computer skills
• Shop / dealership experience preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and ability to use power and hand-held equipment
• Must possess a valid Canadian Driver's license and a safe driving history

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $36 – $38 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
