Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an Aircraft Maintenance course with Transport Canada.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with willingness to enroll in AME apprentice program.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain aircraft in accordance with airworthiness standards.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of aircraft.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct line and heavy maintenance as required.

Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)

MAG Aerospace Canada, a leader in specialized aviation services for over 75 years, is inviting a skilled AME Apprentice to join our dynamic team in Sudbury, ON.

  • Position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Apprentice
  • Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Location: Sudbury, ON
  • Salary: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

As part of our team, you will be integral to ensuring aircraft are safe to fly and operating optimally. This role involves assessing and handling repairs, performing regular inspections, and updating aircraft as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain aircraft in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards and OEM instructions.
  • Carry out maintenance, repair, and daily inspection of company aircrafts as detailed in the company Maintenance Policy Manual.
  • Follow company procedures as per the Maintenance Policy Manual using safe work practices.
  • Conduct both heavy and line maintenance on aircraft.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals in a high-performance culture.
  • Stay abreast of industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude and trainable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physically able to perform all duties of an AME apprentice.
  • Professional and eager to learn, with a positive work attitude.
Education

Currently enrolled in a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance course, OR college graduate or high school diploma (or GED equivalent) with willingness to enroll in an AME apprentice program.
