Job Title: Applications Developer

Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site

Job Type: Full-time

The Position

The Applications Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys turning business requirements into effective, user-friendly applications.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance systems that enable Eclipse to deliver automation excellence on a global scale.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Analyzing, designing, and developing software solutions aligned with business requirements
  • Creating and maintaining detailed software design specifications and documentation
  • Developing and supporting applications within the .NET Framework using C#, web services, and database-driven architectures
  • Providing technical expertise and input on IT initiatives and cross-departmental projects
  • Monitoring emerging technologies and third-party application updates to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Responding to technical inquiries and collaborating with internal users throughout project phases
  • Ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved within timelines and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
  • An educational background in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience developing in a .NET environment using C#
  • Proficiency in SQL queries and experience working with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
  • Understanding of MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) or MVC architectural patterns
  • Experience developing client-server applications
  • Exposure to VB6 applications and interest in modernizing them to C# is an asset
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
