  • Performs analysis, problem‑solving and evaluation activities on upcoming application changes/proposal
  • Assess and understand the needs or issues of the end‑users and knows how to manage priorities.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a degree in Computer Science or equivalent and minimum five (5) years working in a Technical Publications milieu, preferably within an aerospace and/or manufacturing OEM environment
  • You have knowledge of Aerospace Technical Publications processes and technologies in the aircraft/manufacturing industry
  • You have knowledge of ATA, S1000D or other aviation standards
  • You have experience performing document analysis of ‘legacy to target’ XML/SGML data structures, and working with authoring Subject Matter Experts, resulting in new or revised Document Type Definition(s) (DTD) and or XML Schema(s) (XSD)
  • You have experience, both as a user and from a technical support standpoint, with Technical Publications content management systems, ideally RWS Contenta S1000D CSDB
  • You have experience with native XML data rendering/transformation languages (XSL[T]; XSL-FO; CSS), as a developer and maintainer, and utilize these capabilities within the context of producing customer‑facing Technical Publications, be they online or page‑based
  • You have experience with RWS XML Professional Publisher (XPP)
  • You have experience writing data transformation scripts (SGML-to-XML; XML-to-XML), ensuring conformance with new or existing data target structures (DTD; XSD)
  • You have experience with GIT and Perl software
  • Knowledge of Java and SQL would be an additional benefit
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project)
  • You are bilingual (French and English)
