Job summary

Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, seeks a Software Developer for the Toronto Hub. This hybrid role requires working from the office at least twice weekly on Anchor Days.

You will bring strong .NET development to the Application Security Team and collaborate across teams to remediate vulnerabilities. Responsibilities include developing tools to educate, reduce toil, and prevent security flaws, guiding teams on secure practices, and advancing security awareness.

Qualifications

  • Experience in secure software development, architecture review, web application security and cloud security.
  • Experience with security tools development, threat modelling and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Bring strong .NET development experience to the Application Security Team.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams in vulnerability remediation and core code remediations.
  • Develop and implement tools to educate, reduce toil, and prevent security flaws.
  • Build partnerships with development teams and advise on security best practices.
  • Contribute to security awareness within the product organization.
  • Identify and implement tools for automated application scanning and static analysis.
  • Perform incident response when a security event occurs.

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Engineering team at our Toronto Hub. As part of our hybrid model, all hub-based team members are expected to work from the office at least twice per week on designated Anchor Days.

What you’ll do:

  • Bring strong .NET development experience to the Application Security Team
  • Provide detailed guidance and support to teams in vulnerability remediation along with remediating vulnerabilities in core codebases
  • Develop and implement tools to help educate, reduce toil, and prevent security flaws
  • Build partnerships with development teams and advise on security best practices
  • Contribute to growing security awareness and knowledge amongst the product organization
  • Identify and implement tools for automated application scanning, static analysis, and custom tooling
  • Perform incident response when a security event occurs
  • Elevate and educate our security culture within Clio, contributing to our cultural values of "Velocity Wins” and “Get Better Every Day”

What you may have:

  • A love for learning and developing creative security solutions for a fast growing, continuous integration environment that hits upwards of 50 deployments a day
  • Experience in some combination of the following disciplines: secure software development, architecture review, web application security, security tools development, cloud security, and/or threat modelling
  • Experience in modern .NET technologies

This role is a backfill for an existing position.

The expected salary range for this role is $119,000 to $161,000 CAD. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
