Galent in Toronto, Canada is seeking a senior DevOps/Infrastructure professional to design and operate robust CI/CD pipelines, IaC automation, and monitoring for a high‑severity engineering environment.

You will drive security‑first deployments with automated vulnerability gates, manage a hybrid cloud stack across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, and build multi‑region recovery plans to achieve near 99.9999% availability.

Formación

• 7+ years in infrastructure/DevOps, including 3+ years in a regulated industry.
• University or postgraduate degree in CS or Software Engineering.
• Certified Cloud Security Professional or Certified DevSecOps Professional.

Descripción del empleo

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build and maintain pipelines that automatically test and deploy code from development, optimized for heavy engine builds.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write scripts to automate server setup.
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up alerts to monitor environment stability.
• Security Integration: Ensure security checks are built into code deployment processes and implement automated security gates so no code reaches production without passing vulnerability scans.
• Hybrid Infrastructure: Manage a mix of cloud instances and bare-metal servers across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Audit Trail Automation: Ensure every infrastructure change is logged and traceable. Build systems that can prove to a regulator exactly who changed what and when.
• Network Orchestration: Configure software-defined networking to ensure the engine's wire protocols have prioritized bandwidth and low jitter.
• Resiliency and Chaos Engineering: Design multi-region, multi-cloud disaster recovery strategies to ensure 99.9999% availability.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• University or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure/DevOps, with at least 3 years in a highly regulated industry.
• Certified Cloud Security Professional or Certified DevSecOps Professional.

Technical Skills:

• Infrastructure as Code & Configuration: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
• Version Control: GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with mainframe integration or legacy middleware.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle high-pressure requests with transparency and clear communication on progress and next steps.
• Adaptability: Experience working in a GSIB environment, managing high volumes of requests with shifting priorities.

Nice to Have:

• Financial domain expertise, including familiarity with ISO 20022, SWIFT, Fed, and Lynx.
• Experience with tools such as CloudHealth or KubeCost to manage and optimize cloud spend.
• Knowledge of eBPF for observability or DPDK for high-speed packet processing.
• Experience with FPGAs or GPU-based computing clusters used for high-frequency data processing.
• Understanding of how to minimize latency spikes in a distributed wire engine environment.
