Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC is seeking a Hardware Application Engineer to provide technical expertise on hardware, delivering trainings, demos, and support for customer products based on Qualcomm chips. You will work with cross-functional teams to evaluate potential applications and meet customer needs.

You will collaborate to prepare product specifications, disseminate technical information, and troubleshoot hardware tools, while guiding customers through using tools and platforms and producing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2+ years in Hardware Applications or Hardware Design.
• Master's degree with 1+ year in Hardware Applications or Hardware Design.
• PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Applies Hardware Application knowledge to provide technical expertise through trainings and product demonstrations.
• Design, debug, test, and provide quality support for customer products based on Qualcomm chips.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess application of company products and troubleshoot hardware tools and products.
• Guide customers in using tools and platforms and deliver timely technical responses.
• Write detailed technical documentation for Hardware Application projects.

Minimum Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Applies Hardware Application knowledge and experience to provide technical expertise of hardware through trainings, product demonstrations, and the design, debug, test, and quality support of customer products that are based on Qualcomm chips.


• Collaborates with teams and customer personnel in assessing potential application of company products, preparing product specifications, disseminating technical information on hardware areas, and/or troubleshooting issues regarding hardware tools and products.


• Guides customers through the process of using tools and/or platforms.


• Provides timely and accurate answers to customer inquiries.


• Writes detailed technical documentation for Hardware Application projects.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits

$94,300.00 - $141,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
