Job summary

Skyline Living is seeking a diligent cleaner to maintain apartment/condo complexes on site. The role involves sweeping, washing, and basic repairs, with responsibilities including showing units to prospective tenants and conducting safety checks.

The position requires 3–5 years of related experience, on-site work, and a criminal background check. Own transportation and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• High school or college diploma may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Perform basic repairs or contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• Advertise vacancy and show apartments to prospective tenants.
• Perform safety and security checks.
• Move heavy furniture and assist with showings.
• Water and tend to plants and lawns as needed.

Tasks

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• Advertise vacancy
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
• Perform minor repairs on appliances
• Perform safety and security checks
• Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Work with minimal supervision
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
