Job summary

Financial Shared Services Specialist

AP/AR Specialist, Accountant Technician

Position Summary

The role of the Financial Shared Services Specialist is to present financial information in an efficient and accurate manner and ensure compliance with Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.

Essential Functions

Process day-to-day accounts payable and receivable

• Verify invoices and request the receipt of goods and services
• Verify compliance with group policy and procedure
• Verify payment proposals made by Infosys
• Verify expense reports and ensure compliance with the company travel policy
• Ensure good communication with buyers and resolve issues regarding invoices, goods receipts, PO problems, and supplier disputes
• Resolve and respond to supplier inquiries in a timely manner
• Actively participate in reconciling GL accounts
• Prepare supplier statement reconciliations
• Prepare month-end journal entries and complete the accruals statement
• Prepare and validate accounts payable reconciliations
• Process day-to-day posting of supplier invoices, archive them, and enter and record them in the SAP system
• Reconcile accounts receivable and ensure all customer payments received are entered on time
• Facilitate payment of overdue customer invoices by sending reminders and contacting customers
• Prepare aging reports for accounts receivable and payable
• Assist other departments within the organization when needed
• Perform account analyses and provide suggestions for process improvement
• Monitor and collect money for overdue intercompany invoices

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in large companies
• Deep knowledge of Word, Excel
• Knowledge of SAP computer systems
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a shared services environment or operational finance
• Degree: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent
• Perfectly bilingual in English and French

This position requires a good knowledge of English to interact, support, and/or provide services to international clients, employees, and/or partners as well as foreign government authorities who do not speak French.
