Job description

We are one of the leading small animal veterinary dentist specialty practices in Canada, and have an awesome team of RVTs working with us at Guelph Veterinary Specialty Hospital.

Please see our website, animaldentalcare.com

We are looking to hire an RVT to work as a full time assistant office manager from Monday to Thursday for a maternity leave starting on February 2, 2026, and continuing until the end of February of 2027.

We are looking to hire an RVT with great communication and organizational skills who pays attention to detail and works very well in a supportive and positive team setting.

The work includes scheduling dental and oral procedures with a combination of phone calls and e-mails, reviewing referrals with both referring veterinarian and owners. Other duties include greeting owners and patients in our reception area and taking them to our examination room to further assist in consultations and scheduling procedures. This includes dispensing medical therapies and home dental care products for our patients.

This also includes handling collecting payment from our clients and other aspects of financial management for our practice.

Another important skillset is using practice management applications such as Cornerstone, and learning to use the world’s leading veterinary dental charting application, Animal Dental Chart.

We also will cross train our assistant office manager in the protocols we follow for preparation of our patients for anesthesia including blood collection and testing, premedication, monitoring patients under general anesthesia using digital charting, followed by digital dental charting, then recovering patients following general anesthesia.

The salary we offer is negotiable with great added benefits that we are open to discuss in an interview.
