As we expand our portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent to lead the delivery of a new development project in the scenic community of Jasper, Alberta.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Site Superintendent with a strong background in new-build construction to oversee a large-scale project valued between $20M–$40M. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of construction—from site preparation to final handover—ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands in-depth knowledge of civil works, structural systems, building codes, and modular construction methods; ensuring projects are built to specifications, within budget, and on schedule.This is a contract position, with an expected project duration of 18 months, requiring presence in Jasper, Alberta on a Monday to Friday work shift.Note: A detailed construction project list demonstrating relevant experience is required with your application.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the planning, implementation, and management of project priorities according to the schedule· Lead the on-site execution of all construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, schedules, and safety regulations· Conduct daily site inspections and walk-throughs at the start and end of each shift· Manage and coordinate all contractors, subcontractors, and trades to ensure work is completed efficiently and to standard· Prepare and maintain the construction schedule; monitor progress and implement adjustments as needed· Oversee quality control throughout all stages of construction, from foundation to final finishes· Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, including Parks Canada regulations· Facilitate toolbox meetings, orientations, and safety reporting· Complete daily logs and maintain comprehensive project documentation· Collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive performance· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site· Provide guidance to contractors ensuring high performance and quality workmanship· Maintain daily reports, track and report project progress, and ensure all relevant documentation is accurate and up-to-dateQualifications and Experience· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on new-build projects valued between $20M–$40M· Proven ability to manage all aspects of complex construction projects, including site logistics and sequencing· Journeyperson Certification is an asset· Experience in modular construction is a strong asset· Previous experience working in National Parks, including Jasper, is considered an advantage· Valid Standard First Aid certification· Must have own transportation and be physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions· Willing and able to relocate to Jasper, AB for the project durationTechnical Skills:· Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications· Strong understanding of civil works, structural systems, excavation, foundations, and framing· Effective at identifying and mitigating construction risks, scheduling delays, and budget overruns· Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols· Strong financial acumen including cost tracking, change management, and progress reporting· Skilled in coordinating large teams of trades and contractors, with a focus on clear communication and collaboration· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to on-site challenges· High standard of professionalism, leadership, and accountabilityLeadership and Communication:· Strategic thinking and planning: The ability to plan long-term, manage multiple stages of the project, and anticipate issues· Team leadership: Proven ability to lead and supervise teams, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency and solutions-oriented environment.
