Job summary

The University of Lethbridge invites applications for a continuing Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in Anatomy, to begin January 1, 2027. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) role located on campus in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

The successful candidate will teach anatomy to medical students across programs,** with opportunities for leadership in education and scholarship. The position requires doctoral training in anatomy or related field; PhD/MD/MD-PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctoral training in anatomy or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching anatomy to medical students with evidence of high-quality lectures, small groups, and lab instruction.
• Strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in teaching and learning with inclusive pedagogical practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver traditional lectures and prepare lectures videos and podcasts.
• Conduct laboratory-based instruction using cadaveric specimens.
• Lead small group learning and supervise exams and remediation.
• Support anatomy education across interdisciplinary programs and collaborate with faculty and learners.
