Analytics Reporting Specialist (Microsoft Azure and Power BI)

Job Description: Our client is looking for an Analytics Reporting Specialist in Toronto, ON.

Must Have Primary Skills:

• Must have previous experience with development in the Microsoft ecosystem (.Net framework) and specifically in the Microsoft Azure and Power BI.
• Must adapt to the company's working conditions and core values.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer working with enterprise‑scaled datasets.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Dataflows, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
• Hands‑on experience designing and building interactive dashboards and reports.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, or similar).
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while engaging stakeholders in a professional, consultative manner.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills; ability to adapt communication style and message based on audience (peers, stakeholders, executives).
• Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills:

• Experience working with Public Safety organizations.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

• Development experience with geospatial dashboards using Esri ArcGIS technology.

Proven Experience In:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that effectively convey insights and drive decision making.
• Optimize existing dashboards and reports for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Implement performance optimization techniques for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.
• Develop documentation, training, and best practices for end users to maximize adoption of reporting tools.
• Work with the Data Management team and other stakeholders to ensure the team has access to the data required for analytics and insights.
