Job summary

Apotex Inc. seeks an analytical chemist to generate accurate results in a cGMP environment. You will analyze Raw Material and Purified Water using instruments like HPLC, UV-Vis and GC, interpret data, and help with investigations when needed.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related diploma, strong English, and at least 1 year in a pharmaceutical lab. On-site work in Canada, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related field, or a related college diploma.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and lab software.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP/cGLP.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; detail oriented.
• Minimum 1 year pharma lab experience with BS; 2 years with diploma.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Raw Material and Purified Water using analytical instruments per SOP timelines.
• Interpret and document test results; prepare report summaries.
• Identify OOS results and assist investigations under supervision.
• Calibrate lab equipment daily (balance, pH meter, Milli-Q).
• Collaborate with QC to ensure cGMP compliance.
• Provide training and troubleshooting support within QC.
