Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation in Montreal is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to lead Power BI solution design and drive the SAS-to-Databricks migration. This role offers technical leadership with direct impact on our analytics platform.

You will architect Power BI models, govern security and performance, and guide junior developers while delivering production-grade data solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in Power BI and data development.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, SQL and PySpark.
• Experience in production-grade data environments.
• Bilingual in French and English required for regular collaboration across the country.

Responsibilities

• Design Power BI architecture (models, governance, security, performance).
• Lead major SAS to Databricks migration (PySpark/SQL).
• Resolve complex incidents affecting reports and underlying data.
• Review work of junior/intermediate developers and set technical standards.
• Optimize performance of Power BI reports and Databricks processing.

Salary range (but not limited to): 87,200 - 106,600

Notre équipe livre des rapports quotidiens et hebdomadaires critiques pour les opérations de Souscription. Nous recherchons un(e) Analyste des données principal(e) pour diriger la conception de solutions Power BI et jouer un rôle clé dans la migration SAS vers Databricks. Ce poste offre un rôle leadership technique avec un impact direct sur la transformation de notre plateforme analytique.

Ce que vous accomplirez chez nous :

• Concevoir l'architecture de solutions Power BI (modèles, gouvernance, sécurité, performance).
• Diriger des composantes majeures de la migration SAS vers Databricks (PySpark/SQL).
• Résoudre les incidents complexes (niveau 2/3) touchant les rapports et les données sous-jacentes.
• Réviser le travail des développeurs juniors/intermédiaires et établir les standards techniques.
• Optimiser la performance des rapports Power BI et des traitements Databricks.

Ce que vous mettez à profit :

• 7 à 10 ans d'expérience pertinente en Power BI/BI et développement de données.
• Excellente maîtrise de DAX, Power Query, SQL et PySpark.
• Expérience démontrée en environnement de production critique.
• Connaissances en Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog, SAS, Git, AWS, sont un atout.
• Bilinguisme (Français / Anglais) - Nécessité d'interagir sur une base régulière avec des collègues partout au pays .
• Aucune expérience de travail au Canada requise, mais nécessité d'avoir l'autorisation de travailler au Canada.
