Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst with experience in business intelligence to help us continue our growth across Canada. The Senior Business Analyst will work within teams to transform business needs into solutions, whether for product configurations, product development, systems integration, training, and/or process recommendations. They will be responsible for formatting and standardizing data for the organization so that it is usable by the business. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for implementing the functional object format, mapping data into this format, and defining how the data will be visualized. He may also be responsible for one or more functional objects within his data domain in terms of definition, collection, classification, protection, use, and quality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working with client companies to understand their needs and produce functional specification documents;
- Prepare and facilitate workshops with stakeholders, in collaboration with other team members;
- Gather, analyze, validate and document business needs, recommend solutions and best practices necessary for implementation and support of the business; work closely with the DB&T team and suppliers to implement the required solutions;
- Supporting the manager in conducting a high-level analysis of enterprise-wide system changes, including analysis, definition of deployment scope, definition of project plan and drafting of business case analysis;
- Collect business data; design functional objects: Be responsible for the functional object's identity card (definition, example, belonging to a data domain, compliance requirements, links with other BOs, etc.)
- Data modeling: Ensure that the data modeling of the functional object is up to date;
- Data Integration: Responsible for the data lifecycle, from creation, storage, modification, and archiving to data deletion if necessary. He/she therefore ensures that the company's databases are properly organized so that they can be used by other data management stakeholders;
- Data quality: Define data rules, control them and implement action plans to improve data quality;
- Data ownership: Making strategic decisions;
- Produce quality deliverables such as scope of work, business requirements document, process workflows, specification document, test plans and training plans;
- Manage the requirements lifecycle by ensuring traceability from business requirements to testing;
- Define and validate solutions that meet the needs, goals or objectives of the company;
- Participate in the evaluation and comparison of market solutions, where applicable;
- Supporting the project or service manager in the planning and execution of the project or initiative;
- Prepare and execute the different test scenarios (functional and integration);
- Manage the UAT phase before deployment;
- Assist project teams during the implementation of solutions;
- Providing support and commercial expertise for all technical questions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in administration, computer science or a related field;
- More than 2 years of experience as a business analyst (IT), data manager, experience in business analysis and business processes, data modeling, an asset;
- CBAP certification (an asset);
- Agile certification (an asset);
- PMP (an asset);
- Data Steward certification (an asset);
- Main competencies:
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of 'Quote-to-Cash' processes;
- Have a solid understanding of data management principles, including data modeling, data quality, data security, data confidentiality and data governance;
- Basic understanding of technical issues, such as: APIs, statistics, analytical ML, databases, SQL, etc.;
- Basic understanding/knowledge of data analysis (Business Intelligence, data visualization, data science);
- Good understanding/knowledge of local data protection regulations;
- Experience in technologies such as Looker Studio, Power BI;
- Knowledge of Google Apps;
- Experience des concepts Agile.

- Bilingualism (French/English) (required, as the position holder will be required to collaborate with clients and colleagues across Canada and the United States)
Work Environment:
Permanent, full-time position with regular Monday to Friday daytime hours.
Hybrid work is offered, with a minimum of 3 days working remotely and 2 days in the office in downtown Montreal.
The position includes 20% travel (across Canada, to our various business locations in Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick).
