The Analyst, Pharmacy AR provides analytical and process improvement support for the Pharmacy Accounts Receivable portfolio across three business units. The role is responsible for responding to ad‑hoc business requests, performing analysis and investigations, supporting process improvement initiatives, and helping identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of AR processes.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with data. They will be able to take a defined task or business question, complete the required analysis independently, and clearly communicate their findings. Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills are important, as the role will require the ability to investigate issues, understand root causes, and identify potential solutions.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Business & Data Analysis
    • Support analysis related to cash application, deductions, collections, provisions, write-offs, and account reconciliations.
    • Respond to ad‑hoc requests from Pharmacy business teams for data, analysis, and explanations.
    • Perform analysis to answer business questions and support operational decision‑making.
    • Investigate variances, trends, anomalies, and other AR‑related issues.
    • Prepare clear summaries and explanations of analytical findings for business stakeholders.
    • Validate information and investigate discrepancies to ensure conclusions are accurate.
    • Identify potential issues or opportunities and elevate findings as appropriate.
  • Process Improvement
    • Support process improvement and standardization initiatives across the Pharmacy AR function.
    • Document current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
    • Perform analysis to help identify root causes and quantify opportunities for improvement.
    • Monitor processes following implementation and identify additional improvement opportunities.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve the effectiveness of existing processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work with Pharmacy business teams to understand and clarify business questions and analytical requirements.
    • Communicate findings and explanations clearly to business stakeholders.
    • Work with IT and other internal partners when required to support process improvements or resolve issues.
    • Build effective working relationships across Finance and the broader organization.
The candidates should possess the following skills:
  • 1–4 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounts Receivable, Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Operations, or a related field.
  • Post‑secondary education is an asset but not required where equivalent relevant experience is demonstrated.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated ability to work with data.
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify appropriate next steps.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain analysis and findings to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to seek guidance or elevate an issue.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems, processes, and analytical tools.
