Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC) is seeking an Analyst, Merch Data Governance for a 12-month contract in Toronto. You will own data quality, lifecycle and taxonomy for merchandising data, tracing issues to source and delivering fixes through analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
You will leverage SQL, Power Platform and AI tools to automate processes, strengthen governance and partner with IT for durable data solutions. Hybrid work four days in-office.
In this 12-month contract, as the Analyst, Merch Data Governance, you will own business problems in merchandising data – not just the tasks behind them. You will take accountability for the accuracy, flow and governance of product data across our merchandising systems, find out why issues happen, and deliver lasting fixes through analysis, technology and cross-functional partnership. It is a role for a problem-solver with a strong technical inclination who wants to shape how data works across the business. Own data outcomes – take accountability for product data quality, lifecycle, attributes and taxonomy, closing gaps before they affect the business. Solve problems at the source – trace data across systems, assess impact and partner with IT to deliver lasting fixes. Strengthen data flows – improve recurring processes and integrations through effective controls, validation and exception management. Bridge business and technology – translate needs into requirements, support solution design, lead UAT and communicate clear recommendations. Automate and modernize – use SQL, Power Platform, workflow, and AI tools to reduce manual effort, improve governance and support modern product data platforms.
Ownership – you will own business problems and their outcomes, not just the tasks. Influence – you will shape requirements, standards and priorities with business and technology partners. Real modernization work – you will help design the data platforms and processes the business will rely on next.
