Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking an Analyst to join the Investment Insights team. You will work with investment teams to create analytics that generate actionable insights and improve affiliate investment processes.

You will apply knowledge of investment analytics, data science, and AI to design and deliver analytics across the full lifecycle, collaborating with managers and leadership to scale solutions and drive decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, data science, or quantitative field.
  • Completion of CFA or FRM is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge in investment analytics, investment management, or data science.

Job description

Are you interested in joining one of Canada’s top-performing asset managers? We are looking for an Analyst to join ourInvestment Insights (II) team. In this position you will work with investment teams to create analytics that generate actionable insights. You will leverage your knowledge of investment analytics and data science to improve affiliate’s investment processes. You will contribute across the full analytics delivery lifecycle with a focus on design and development. What You Will Do
  • Develop analytics that generate investment insights and improve affiliate investment manager effectiveness.
  • Build a deep understanding of affiliate investment strategies and workflows.
  • Proactively research and propose new analytic methodologies; identify opportunities to enhance decision-making and expand our analytics offering. Serve as a thought leader in investment analytics.
  • Collaborate with investment managers and senior leadership to iterate on proofs of concept.
  • Partner with the Platform and Methodology Team to productionalize and scale these analytics.
  • Leverage financial datasets and tools to create and enrich analytics. Current analytics include performance, attribution, portfolio risk and exposure, machine learning stock screeners, hypothetical scenario analysis, competitor analysis, liquidity risk, trade monitoring, ESG scoring frameworks, fee analysis, etc.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues using your strong understanding of analytics methodologies.
  • Explain business logic and technical concepts clearly, adjusting your communication style for a given audience.
  • Apply AI where it adds value, such as, in financial modelling, anomaly detection, and natural-language database querying.
What You Bring
  • An undergraduate degree infinance,data science,or a quantitative field. Completion of a relevant designation, such as the CFA or FRM, is an asset.
  • You have deep knowledge in investment analytics, investment management, or data science.You are a systems thinker and take ownership of your work.
  • You have practical experience with the tools and systems used in modern analytics pipelines. Experience with Python,SQL,AI programming assistants (e.g.GitHub Copilot), automation and schedulingplatforms(e.g.VisualCron, Prefect),data platforms(e.g.Databricks, Microsoft Fabric), and data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) is an asset. Experience developing AI solutions is an asset.
  • Passionate about technology and are committed to continuous learning. You apply and integrate emerging technologies where they add value. You bring the "art of the possible" to solution design.
  • Strong problem solver who can identify patterns, generate insights, and approach ambiguous problems with structure and creativity.
  • You cancommunicate complex concepts clearly and build alignment across stakeholders at all levels. You have a collaborative spirit,can navigate different perspectives, and promote alignment toward common organizational
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate process risks, and upscale issues proactively when needed.
  • Youcanuse judgementtomakesound decisionsina timelyfashion under ambiguity.You are self-directed, proactive, and comfortable proposing solutions.
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000.

The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
