Analyst, Investment Banking Intern (Fall 2027)
How does the role impact the organization?

The internship will offer the opportunity to gain presentation, critical analysis, financial modeling and valuation experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to take initiative, will possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, demonstrate academic excellence and be registered in an undergraduate business program.

What is the position responsible for?
  • Work closely with Analysts, Associates and VPs in the investment banking team;
  • Conduct financial modelling, various financial and strategic analyses, discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and evaluate other industry metrics as required;
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis and industry research;
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and industry databases;
  • Support the maintenance of the groups’ databases and valuation tools on an ongoing basis; and
  • Assist in preparing extensive written documents including proposals, pitchbooks and company information documents for business development and marketing purposes.
What do we expect from you?
  • Knowledge of fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry;
  • Competent in finance, financial modelling and the capital markets;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness and ability to learn new applications;
  • The ability of quantitative and analytical thinking;
  • Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;
  • Display advanced face-to-face, email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills;
  • Learn quickly;
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment;
  • Demonstrate a professional manner to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization; and due diligence;
  • Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information;
  • Previous experience in Corporate Development, Banking, Private Equity and Venture Capital are preferred; and
  • Capital IQ and Bloomberg is considered an asset.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
  • Currently registered in an undergraduate program in 3rd or 4th year with a specialization in finance, accounting, engineering or business considered an asset; and
  • A proven academic track record of strong performance in analytical and financial courses.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
