CIBC Capital Markets Mergers & Acquisitions group of professionals are dedicated specifically to advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, hostile takeovers, buyouts, takeover defense and restructurings. There is an extensive amount of interaction with other groups within the firm in order to provide clients with customized financing and advisory solutions. As part of the M&A group, you will be expected to provide a broad range of analytical, research and presentation preparation support to all the professionals as well as gaining exposure to working with individuals from various groups across the firm. A team approach to executing coverage and financing assignments is designed to provide progressive, on-the-job training. The role of an Analyst within CIBC’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Investment Banking group is challenging and fast-paced. To successfully perform the work, you'll be on-site full-time. The expected annualized base salary for this role is $105,000. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles. In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.
