Job description

We’re looking for an Analyst to join our team Global Capital Markets – Perception & Investor Engagement Team, reporting to the Sr. Manager - Advisory.

In this role, you’ll help shape how we provide strategic guidance on investor engagement, capital markets trends, and institutional investor sentiment to C‑Suite executives, Investor Relations leaders, and buy‑side and sell‑side investments professionals. Additionally, this role will help corporate issuers optimize capital attraction by helping clients execute on value‑enhancing strategies that optimize investor targeting.

You’ll fit right in if you’re highly analytical & data‑driven, consultative in your approach, love working across teams and time zones, and get energy from tackling challenges that make an impact on a global scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Advise & Consult: Partner closely with senior stakeholders—both internally across Nasdaq’s global team and externally with C‑Suite executives and Investor Relations leaders—to identify client needs and recommend tailored approaches for sentiment analysis and investor targeting. Assist senior team members in shaping strategic engagement plans by critically assessing client objectives and market dynamics.
  • Client Management: Partner with public company management to identify needs, design, structure and execute investor outreach strategies, including conferences, non‑deal roadshows, and direct engagement with institutional investors.
  • Voice of Shareholder (VoS) Sentiment Analysis: Conduct perception studies by interviewing institutional investors (portfolio managers, buy‑side and sell‑side analysts) synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations for clients. The incumbent will need a strong command of business models, investment thesis construction and valuation approached commonly used by industry professionals.
  • Investor Engagement Analysis: Leverage Nasdaq’s proprietary data and analytical tools to identify untapped pools of long‑term capital and measure IR program effectiveness. Develop and implement investor targeting strategies using advanced analytics to optimize engagement with high‑potential investors.
  • Strategic Communication: Prepare and deliver impactful presentations for C‑Suite and Board meetings, distilling complex sentiment and market data into clear, actionable narratives.
  • Research & Market Intelligence: Conduct ad hoc research on capital markets trends, investor behavior, and competitive benchmarking to support the global team.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Analytics or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in capital markets, consulting, buy‑side/sell‑side research, or investor relations.
  • Strong analytical skills with high degree proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools; experience with platforms like FactSet, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or IR Insight preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage senior executives and institutional investors.
  • A consultative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and passion for capital markets.

This position will be located in Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in‑office, subject to change, providing flexibility or accessibility for qualified candidates.
