Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group is seeking an Analyst – Corporate Accounting to support accounting, analysis, and planning for corporate departments and artistic services. You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate recording of costs and revenues and to deliver timely month-end close.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you will analyze variances, contribute to forecasts, and assist with internal controls and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent; strong analytical skills.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or similar roles.
• Accounting designation is a plus; fluency in English and French required.

Responsibilities

• Record costs and revenues for assigned sectors and ensure accuracy.
• Participate in month-end closing and meet deadlines.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses (actual vs budget vs forecast).
• Contribute to quarterly forecasts and budgeting with sector directors.
• Manage corporate allocations across business lines and support internal controls.
• Assist in external audits and tax filings and respond to inquiries.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you will provide accounting, analysis, and planning support to corporate departments and artistic services. In a dynamic environment that requires a high degree of autonomy, you will be expected to maintain a partnership-based relationship with these sectors and work closely with them and your colleagues in the Finance team.

You will be recognized for:

• Ensuring that costs and revenues for your assigned sectors are accurately recorded;
• Having a thorough understanding of the operations of the sectors under your responsibility and serving as the point of contact for them;
• Actively participating in the month-end process and completing all tasks related to your sectors by the specified deadlines;
• Preparing monthly variance analyses (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) for your sectors;
• Contributing to the development of quarterly forecasts and actively participating in the budgeting process, while working closely with the directors and senior directors of your sectors;
• Manage corporate allocations among the various business lines;
• Contribute to the integration of the team’s new projects while supporting initiatives for continuous improvement and optimization of accounting processes and internal controls;
• Document your work procedures to facilitate collaboration with your colleagues;
• Ensure compliance with the company’s accounting standards and administrative procedures;
• Assist in preparing external audit and tax filings, and respond to inquiries;
• Implement and monitor the necessary internal controls for all processes under your responsibility.

We’d like to meet you if you have:

• A Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a concentration in accounting or the equivalent;
• At least three years of relevant experience in a similar position, ideally at a large company;
• A recognized accounting designation (a plus);
• Excellent proficiency in Excel;
• Experience using ERP systems, such as SAP; knowledge of Longview is a plus;
• Attention to detail, a high degree of independence, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to adapt to change;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to establish and maintain clear, structured communication;
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus;
• Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
