About the Role
kdc/one is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Analyst to join its Corporate Accounting team at its headquarters in Longueuil.
This role contributes to the accurate and timely month-end close, consolidation, corporate reporting, and financial analysis across the Group. The Analyst will work closely with finance teams across the organization, supporting reporting activities while developing a strong understanding of the Group’s operations and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Accounting & Consolidation
- Support monthly accounting and reporting activities for assigned corporate cost centers.
- Prepare recurring journal entries of varying complexity.
- Support accounting and reporting across assigned corporate accounting areas.
- Assist with month-end consolidation activities and investigate accounting issues as required.
Business Unit Support & Site Coordination
- Act as a key point of contact for assigned sites and develop an understanding of their accounting processes and site-specific considerations.
- Support sites with monthly submissions, system uploads, and accounting or reporting questions.
- Review submissions and follow up with site finance teams to resolve issues and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Participate in recurring review calls with assigned sites and maintain strong working relationships with local finance teams.
Corporate Reporting & Consolidation
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial reporting deliverables.
- Maintain the month-end tracker and coordinate activities against the month-end calendar.
- Prepare and maintain supporting analyses, data pulls, and ad hoc financial analyses.
- Support the investigation and resolution of consolidation and reporting matters.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate supporting documentation and well-organized working papers.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, consistency, and quality of accounting and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, business-unit finance teams, and other stakeholders as required.
- Contribute to the standardization of reporting processes and sharing of best practices across the Group.
Qualifications
- CPA designation or progress toward a professional accounting designation.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or relevant accounting or financial reporting role within industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with TM1, consolidation tools, or ERP systems is an asset.
- Public company reporting experience considered an asset.
