The opportunity :
Reporting to theLead Analyst, Business Systems Reporting, the Analyst, Business Systems Reporting will support in developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures. This role will support compliance monitoring. The Analyst, Business Systems Reconciliation, emphasizes organizational efficiency, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
Key responsibilities include :
Conducting audits of accounts related to operational controls including fees and scheduled and ad-hoc reporting while ensuring adherence to compliance standards and accuracy in financial records.Monitoring financial transactions occurring in corporate accounts, meticulously maintaining detailed records, and obtaining necessary approvals based on predefined threshold limits.Estimating error amounts associated with trade corrections to facilitate accurate reporting and resolution of discrepancies.Initiating and processing corrective tickets for trade corrections, employing suitable procedures tailored to the security type to rectify discrepancies promptly and effectively.Collaborating with internal teams to assist in the design, documentation, and monitoring of internal control frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.Providing monthly reports of internal accounts to different stakeholders; Operations (House and Corporate Error Accounts), Compliance (IA Error Accounts), P&P (Average Price Accounts, Capital Market Accounts, and Finance Accounts).Generating comprehensive reports through the collection, analysis, and summarization of relevant information.Examining transactional data within accounts, identifying any suspicious or unusual activities, and taking appropriate steps to escalate and propose corrective measures for resolution.Leveraging technology to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, exploring innovative solutions and best practices to drive continuous improvement.Providing analytical support on transfer fees including transfer fee support for newly onboarded IAs, reversal process, tuck in, and oversight on exceptions.Facilitating the submission of iMOST for NBIN processing as required.Executing the daily upload and reversal processes of transfer fees, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of fee transactions.Preparing comprehensive monthly reports on transfer fees for transitioning IA teams, providing valuable insights and facilitating a smooth transition process.Proactively monitoring and managing dashboards to ensure timely updates and accurate tracking of project tasks, bugs, and feature requests (e.g. JIRA)Performing other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess :
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, information technology or a related field.A minimum of 2-3 years’ financial services industry experience working in a high growth environment.A minimum of 2 years’ experience in vendor and custodian management.A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer / client-service facing role.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Experience in the wealth management or other regulated industry is a strong asset.Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Outlook.Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals.Excellent attitude and commitment to provide extraordinary service.An excellent attention to detail with problem-solving and organizational skills.Exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills; an ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively, across multiple mediums (in-person, over the phone, and virtually).A high tolerance for ambiguity; highly adaptive and able to manage a large volume of competing priorities.Strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills.An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.Conditions of employment :
