Job summary

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking an Analyst for the Analytics Platform and Methodology team to drive the digital transformation of our analytics platform and support investment analytics across the organization.

You will manage the analytics production pipeline and develop scalable solutions across performance, attribution, risk, and investment models, enabling stakeholders from portfolio managers to performance analysts to access robust analytics and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, data science, or quantitative field; CFA/FRM asset.
• Strong knowledge of investment analytics, investment management, or data science.
• Experience with modern analytics pipelines and tools (Python, SQL, automation, scheduling).
• Ability to translate business logic for stakeholders across levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end analytics production pipeline including ingestion, calculation, and distribution.
• Identify and implement scalable analytics solutions across performance, attribution, risk, exposure, and investment models.
• Support and enhance proprietary analytics products and third‑party tools (Revolution, Bloomberg, eVestment).
• Develop and maintain dashboards and the semantic layer supporting NLQ.
• Translate complex concepts clearly for portfolio managers and analysts.
• Identify workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Analyst, Analytics Platform and Methodology

Are you interested in joining one of Canada’s top-performing asset managers? We are looking for an Analyst to join our Platform and Methodology (PaM) team. In this position, you will help drive the digital transformation of our business by developing and modernizing our analytics platform. You will contribute across the full analytics delivery lifecycle, including methodology, design, and implementation, and work on high-impact solutions that support investment analytics across the organization.

The PaM team acts as a steward of the financial group’s analytics platform and is responsible for the delivery of post-trade and custom affiliate analytics. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact, high-skill team whose scope and impact continue to grow.

What You Will Do

• Manage the end-to-end analytics production pipeline including ingestion, calculation, and distribution.
• Identify, develop, source, and implement scalable analytics solutions across performance, attribution, risk, exposure, and investment models.
• Support and enhance both proprietary analytics products and third-party tools such as Revolution, Bloomberg, and eVestment.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and the semantic layer that supports natural language query (NLQ)
• Investigate and resolve complex issues using your strong understanding of analytics methodologies.
• Translate business logic and technical concepts for stakeholders, including portfolio managers and performance analysts.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance service for stakeholders.

What You Bring

• An undergraduate degree infinance,data science,or a quantitative field. Completion of a relevant designation, such as the CFA or FRM, is an asset.
• You have deep knowledge in investment analytics, investment management, or data science.You are a systems thinker and take ownership of your work. Experience implementing performance and analytics systems (Revolution, BNY Data and Analytics, Simcorp Investment Analytics, etc.) is an asset.
• You have practical experience with the tools and systems used in modern analytics pipelines. Experience with Python,SQL,AI programming assistants (e.g.GitHub Copilot), automation and schedulingplatforms(e.g.VisualCron, Prefect),data platforms(e.g.Databricks, Microsoft Fabric), and data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)is an asset. Experience developing AI solutions is an asset.

• Strong problem solver who can identify patterns, generate insights, and approach ambiguous problems with structure and creativity.

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
