Job Summary:

Seeking a candidate to join our National Investment team in Toronto, working on commercial real estate valuation. Responsibilities include research, preparing Argus/Excel analyses, cash flow projections, and assisting with appraisal reports, primarily focusing on institutional-grade assets across markets. You will collaborate with teams nationally and locally, utilizing technology and training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support clients’ acquisition, asset management, and lending needs through research and analysis.
2. Develop cash flow projections using industry-standard software Argus Enterprise.
3. Assist in preparing appraisal reports with current market data, collaborating with senior staff.
4. Gather and analyze market data from internal and external sources.
5. Ensure accurate data entry into company databases.
6. Stay informed on market and industry trends.
7. Accurately track time and expenses daily.
8. Maintain Candidate status with the Appraisal Institute of Canada by completing required courses annually.
9. Perform building inspections in partnership with senior staff as part of candidate requirements.

Key Qualifications:

1. Recent graduate with a degree in Commerce, Real Estate, Economics, Finance, or related experience.
2. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
3. Valid driver’s license.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables).
5. Basic skills in financial modeling (Excel, Argus).
6. Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills.
7. Ability to work independently and in teams.
8. Self-motivated, with integrity and ethics.
9. Flexible hours and ability to travel locally for inspections.
10. Candidate status with AIC is an asset; prior real estate experience is a plus.
