Job summary

A family-owned amusement ride business is seeking an Amusement Park Attendant for a full-time seasonal role. You will assist in setting up rides, operate amusements, and ensure the safety of patrons. On-the-job training is provided, and you will work across various locations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Flexibility in schedule is required as shifts may vary, including weekends and possible overtime.

Business information: East Coast Amusements is a fully insured, family-owned and operated amusement ride business. We are committed to providing a clean, safe atmosphere where families and communities can enjoy all the excitement of a complete carnival midway. We take great pride in building strong personal relationships with our clients and we view each one as a partnership. We also rent anything from single amusement ride for a private party, Christmas party or corporate function, providing a complete package including carnival rides, games, food and cotton candy for events.

Work Location: We travel to various locations across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

Type of Employment: Full Time – Seasonal / 6-month contract

Job Description:

  • Assist in the set-up and tear down of rides, game tents, concession stands.
  • Operate rides and amusements
  • Operate game booth
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections of attraction equipment
  • Assist patrons on and off rides
  • Secure and release safety belts and bars
  • Clean and maintain recreational facilities and grounds
  • Collect tickets and admit patrons to travelling carnival and rides
  • Oversee game activities and ensure safety of participants
  • Participate in the upkeep of the overall appearance of the shows, rides, concessions, and games
  • May sell tickets
  • May drive trucks, vans, and other vehicles to transport amusement rides, games, and other attractions to amusement attraction sites.

Requirements:

  • Education: Not required
  • Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training is provided.
  • Driver’s license is an asset.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, crouching, and kneeling, Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods.

  • Work Site Environment: Fast-paced environment, Various locations, Outdoors, Noisy
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45kg (100 lbs.)
  • Language: English is required.

Salary: $17.88 hourly, 30-44 Hours per week.
Benefits: Accommodation is provided at a discounted rate – Bunk houses. Transportation from location to location is provided and travel expenses costs are covered if workers need to relocate for the season.

Important Information: Workers are needed for next season starting in Early May 2026. Work is required 5 days a week on a rotational basis. The work schedule will vary. We work on weekends. Possible overtime (extended hours) and night shifts may be required. Work from 9 am to 5 pm for days we need to set up the rides. Work from 3 pm to 9 pm for days we are open to the public. Flexibility in schedule is required since some days the workers could start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs.
