Job summary

Cineplex Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking an Hourly Amusement Host to provide an engaging guest experience and operate major attractions. You will curate the gaming experience for guests, whether experienced or new to gaming, in a fast-paced, social environment.

The role involves assisting guests, upselling activities, and ensuring stations are clean and ready for guests. Flexible hours and opportunities to grow are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Able to complete tasks with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Provincial alcohol server certification required.

Responsibilities

• Upsell games by showing game operations and encouraging play.
• Keep games and stations clean, well-maintained and restock the store as needed.
• Answer guest inquiries and know venue pricing for events and promotions.

Hourly Amusement Host

Our Amusement Hosts are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional entertainment experience to each and every guest. The Amusement Host operates all major attractions and is an expert on gaming within the facility and can help answer and/or curate the gaming experience for both experienced and non-experienced gamers. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

• Upselling games by showing guests game operations, encouraging guests to play and creating an overall fun, playful environment for them.
• Ensuring both games and individual stations are clean, well-maintained and fully operational and assisting with restocking the Store.
• Being a trusted resource for guests’ inquiries and concerns and have a working knowledge of the venue’s pricing for special events, promotions and daily events.

Qualifications

• For licensed venues, candidates must be the required age of majority or older.
• You preferably have some experience with customer service.
• You can complete tasks with attention to detail.
• You have strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate.
