A leading electricity provider in Ontario is looking for a Technical AMI Analyst to oversee meter testing, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves supporting technical staff, conducting equipment evaluations, and providing training. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with revenue metering systems, and effective communication skills in English. This temporary position is based in Mississauga for 18 months.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical theory to conduct testing of equipment.
• Proficiency in computer technology for software application testing.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain meter registration and documentation.
• Conduct testing of AMI equipment and network systems.
• Provide technical support to personnel and contractors.
• Calibrate and evaluate metering equipment.
• Participate in audits and resolve identified issues.
• Support development of training materials and courses.

Skills

Knowledge of electrical theory and engineering science

Computer technology skills
