Job summary

Avon Maitland District School Board invites applications for an Elementary Occasional Teacher for a long-term Grade 8 assignment. The position is 1.0 FTE with a daily rate of pay between $292.63 and $618.32, prorated by FTE under the ETFO-OT Collective Agreement.

Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (or have a transitional certificate), possess required divisional qualifications, and have classroom management and G‑Suite/Microsoft Office experience.

ELEMENTARY OCCASIONAL TEACHER

LONG-TERM ASSIGNMENT

Assignment: 1.0 FTE - Grade 8

Daily Rate of Pay: $292.63-$618.32 per day, as outlined in the ETFO - OT Collective Agreement; prorated based on FTE accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

• Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or have their transitional certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers
• Must hold the required divisional qualifications, as noted above, to be eligible for this position;
• Demonstrated experience in the assigned duties of a teacher as outlined in Regulation 298: Operation of Schools;
• Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management);
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment;
• Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products;
