Job Overview: Enhancing community care options for Albertans continues to be a key priority for Recovery Alberta. Our goal is to provide high-quality, diverse community, home, and individual Mental Health and Addiction services and to support the long-term mental health and wellness of Mental Health and Addiction clients and their families.
As a Health Promotion Facilitator I, you will assist communities to be healthier through mentoring, advocacy, and education. You will link individuals and/or communities to relevant health resources within the region or province and work with community partners, workplaces, and health services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion strategies.
You will participate in special studies and/or research projects and review health-related data and identify trends related to population health and at-risk groups. In addition, you will facilitate the development and/or implementation of program-specific guidelines in partnership with other stakeholders.
You will plan, develop, and facilitate workshops, seminars, and presentations for staff as well as communities, workplaces, and health services. You will also prepare work plans, budgets, and year-end reports and provide input for departmental goals and strategies.
English Fluency Level required for position - Advanced
Job Requirements - Completion of bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Health Sciences, Health Education, or a related field.
