This posting describes a Recovery Worker role in the North Zone Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHA) for Hinton/Jasper Mental Health and Addiction Services (Child/Youth and Adult). The position is based in Jasper and serves clients affected by the Jasper Wildfire or with identified mental illness, using a Recovery Psychosocial Rehabilitative framework that promotes client respect, autonomy, health, and improved quality of life. Preference may be given to candidates residing within the Hinton–Jasper corridor. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community-based services to persons with chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life.
Your duties include carrying out assigned tasks in a client-focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers and you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.
