The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Airworthiness Professional will be to:
  • Represent the Regulatory Authority for approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements and ongoing safety issues;
  • Serve as part of the A220 Airworthiness Team to provide key leadership in maintaining the safety, certification and airworthiness of the A220 program;

  • Lead internal efforts to maintain an acceptable level of aircraft safety, provide visibility to company management and provide guidance on company procedures related to airworthiness processes, including internal safety management review processes.
Your working environment:

The A220 commercial aircraft Program is headquartered in Mirabel, in the greater Montreal area, where the vibrant city of Montreal is just a stone’s throw away. Known for its peaceful and safe environment, the region offers a high quality of life for younger or experienced professionals and families, perfectly balancing career opportunities and outdoor activities that makes it a truly special place to call home.

How we care for you:
  • Financial rewards: Attractive salary, annual bonus, group insurance plan, pension plan and share purchase plan.
  • Work / Life Balance: A hybrid working policy (based on operational needs), on-site cafeterias and a highly competitive holiday policy.
  • Wellbeing/Health: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Program, on-site Medical Service, access to a public shuttle service between Laval (Montmorency metro station) and Mirabel, and a carpooling application.
  • Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.
Your challenges:
  • As a member of the Airworthiness department at Airbus Canada, you will represent the regulatory authority for the approval of new aircraft designs, product improvements and issues of continued safety;

  • Organize and lead the logistics of internal/external certification activities;
  • Liaise with certifying government authorities and provide regulatory guidance to other Airbus Canada disciplines;
  • Be the main point of contact between the company and the regulatory authorities (mainly Transport Canada) for the assessment and disposition of issues impacting the safety of aircraft;
  • Lead internal efforts to maintain an acceptable level of aircraft safety, provide visibility to Company management, and provide guidance on Company procedures related to Airworthiness processes including internal Safety Management review processes.
Your boarding pass:
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or an equivalent, with 8 years or more experience;
  • You have aviation experience, experience dealing with government authorities and certification regulations;
  • You possess developed competencies related to Project engineering and have a good understanding of aircraft functionality;
  • You possess great relational acumen and excellent social/interpersonal skills;
  • You are organized/self-motivated and bilingual (French, English) with strong verbal/written English skills;
  • You have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) as well as the Google Suite of tools (Sheets, Docs and Slides) and basic Internet skills;
  • You have strong digital literacy with the ability to effectively utilize digital tools, manage and organize data and navigate digital information to support business objectives in a modern, information-driven environment. Additionally, you leverage digital solutions to enhance and optimize work methods, driving efficiency and innovation.

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
